4D Workshop

The Fraunhofer ITMP Penzberg/Munich (Immunology, Infection and Pandemic Research, IIP) combines expertise in immunology, infectious diseases and pandemic preparedness to translate scientific discoveries into innovative healthcare solutions. We uniquely integrate in-depth analytical, microbiological, medical and epidemiological expertise to develop and evaluate cutting-edge multi-parameter diagnostics, novel antiviral and immunomodulatory treatments and both active and passive vaccination strategies.

As part of the Fraunhofer CIMD young scientist program, the Fraunhofer ITMP-IIP is hosting a 4D-Workshop (Drugs, Devices, Diagnostics and Data) at its site in Munich, bringing together experts from academia, industry, and healthcare to explore the latest developments in diagnostics, infectious disease preparedness and biotechnology innovation.

Across four thematic sessions, participants will gain insights into:

• Methodological and Regulatory Aspects of Diagnostic Technologies

• AI-Based Diagnostic Tools and Future Infection Preparedness

• Immunodiagnostics in Infectious and Immune-Associated Diseases

• Translational Approaches in Diagnostics, Treatment, and Biomanufacturing

This program also includes a hands-on laboratory session, offers opportunities for discussion and interdisciplinary networking.

Participation is free, but registration is required
