Promotion of young talents along the 4Ds

The Fraunhofer Cluster of Excellence Immune-mediated Diseases CIMD aims to facilitate and simplify education along the 4Ds (Drugs, Diagnostics, Data, Devices) by supporting young scientists. Cooperation between different disciplines is to be encouraged - a prerequisite for the implementation of 4Ds. In addition to various workshops along the 4Ds, the cluster is planning a summer school in Berlin, which is aimed primarily at doctoral students, young postdocs and project collaborators of the Fraunhofer CIMD.

Content and aims:

Practice-oriented research and development activities of industrial partners and Fraunhofer researchers along the 4Ds. Networking of junior staff among each other and with partners from industry and research. Promotion of interdisciplinary cooperation with the Fraunhofer CIMD.

Please note: All participants are expected to make an active contribution to their own research project in form of a 5-minute pitch (short presentation without PowerPoint slides). The presented project does not need to be a CIMD project, but can be any project, the participant is working on.

Registration is required for participation.

Please send your registration to info@cimd.fraunhofer.de. (First-come, first-served basis)

Please submit with your registration a short abstract (max. 1000 characters without spaces) on the project you present. The presented project does not need to be a CIMD project, but can be any project you are working on.

Costs

Participation fee: 69,- € (to be settled via ILV; cost unit Fraunhofer IME-TMP Frankfurt)

Costs that will be covered by the Cluster:
- 3 overnight stays (incl. breakfast) at Monbijou Hotel Berlin (Monbijouplatz 1, 10178 Berlin)
- All social events planned and described in the program

Please note:
Direct travel costs (e.g. train ticket) as well as daily allowance are to be paid by the sending institute.
